To establish Sonargaon University as a recognized center of academic excellence – nationally and internationally – through a sustained, self-driven culture of quality in every academic and administrative endeavour.
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sonargaon University (SU) was established in 2014 as a major step in pursuing long-term quality standards across the university. The IQAC is a significant administrative body, headed by a Director, that is responsible for all quality matters of the university. It is the prime responsibility of the IQAC to initiate, plan and supervise the various activities necessary to increase the quality of education imparted at the university. The role of the IQAC in maintaining quality standards in teaching, learning and evaluation is therefore central to the institution.

To institutionalize a continuous quality-assurance culture across all units of the university by developing sound processes, promoting Outcome-Based Education, and preparing the university to meet external assessment and accreditation standards with transparency and accountability.
The general objective of the IQAC is to promote a quality-assurance culture within the university. The specific objectives are to:
Institutionalize the quality assurance culture in accordance with national QA guidelines and international practices.
Ensure that the university’s quality assurance procedures are designed following the QAU guidelines and national requirements.
Develop, maintain and enhance the quality of education and public perception in favor of the university through consistent quality assurance practice and performance.
Build the image of the university with the confidence of stakeholders, ensuring transparency, accountability and good practices in all aspects of management.
Prepare the university to meet external quality assurance assessment and accreditation requirements.
Quality is not a destination but a continuous journey. At Sonargaon University, the IQAC is committed to nurturing a culture where every member of our academic community takes ownership of excellence – in the classroom, in the laboratory and in every service we provide to our students.
Since its establishment in 2014, the IQAC has worked to embed Outcome-Based Education, support our departments through self-assessment and accreditation, and organize training that keeps our teaching contemporary and effective. I warmly invite our faculty, students and stakeholders to partner with us as we build an institution recognized for its integrity, transparency and enduring commitment to quality.
Core responsibilities the IQAC carries out to safeguard and enhance quality.
Maintain and monitor quality standards in teaching, learning and evaluation across all departments.
Conduct program self-assessment (SAR) and internal quality audits following QAU guidelines.
Guide Outcome-Based Education standards, curriculum design and continuous quality improvement (CQI).
Coordinate with UGC, BAETE and BAC to meet national and international accreditation requirements.
Organize training, seminars and workshops for faculty and administrative staff on quality enhancement.
Collect and analyze feedback from students, alumni, employers and faculty to inform improvement.
