Introduction

Washing is the technology which is used to modify the appearance, size, outlook, comfort ability and fashion ofthe garments is called garment washing. It is mainly applied on denim goods and any other garments. In washing process, a garment is provided with a lucrative economical and glassy appearance. Washing operations carried out most frequently during a complete textile finishing cycle. They are almost always connected to key treatments and aimed at removing from the fabric insoluble matters, matters already in solution or an emulsion of other impurities. In denim, garment washing is done to produce effects such as color fading with or without patchiness, crinkles, seam puckering, hairiness, defiling, softened hand feel and stabilized dimensions.Washing can be considered as the final process in denim production and is the core of denim finishing. The washing of denim is directly related to the aesthetic, quality and value of denim garments.Under the influence of different chemicals, washing conditions and washing equipment used, different final effects can be achieved in denim garments.

The research plan is design as follows:

  • Evaluating the comfort characteristics of enzyme & enzyme stone washed with different softeners of stretch denim fabric.
  • Determination the fastness properties of enzyme & enzyme stone treated with different softeners of stretch denim fabric.
  • Compare the comfort characteristics among the different types softener used treated stretch denim
  • Analysis the surface modifications structure of different softener treated stretch denim.
